The school was opened on 1 June 1990 in the compound of Wat Ah Lan Monastery in Mae Sot. The school began with two teachers and sixty students.
In 1997 the school moved to a site near the local day market (house number 7/28). The school now has 465 students and twenty-nine teachers.

3. Rent for Land and Buildings
The cost for renting the land and school buildings from June 2010–May 2011 is 240,000 baht (20,000 baht per month). Currently there are no donors to help for the next school year (2011–2012), so there is much anxiety.
4. The Owner of the Land and Buildings
Fis Oev is the land owner.
5. Population of the students, teachers and grades
There are currently 465 students, twenty-nine teachers and grades from Kindergarten to grade 12.
6. Thai Recognition
The school has been officially recognized by the Thai Ministry of Education, Tak Area 2.
7. Cooperation with Thai School
In 2009, the school began cooperation with Tat Ar Thai School for grades from Kindergarten to grade 2. A total of 120 students studied together.
8. School Supplies
- The Thai government assists with health sanitation supplies and a guard.
- BMWEC helps the school with money as much as it can.
- HWF provides lunch to the students and provides provisions for boarding students.
- IRC sometimes comes to visit the school and gives the students milk and fruit, etc.
- SMRU came to the school and gave health vaccinations.
9. School Dorm
213 students lived in the school dorm during the 2010–2011 school year. There are 9 buildings for male students and 8 buildings for female students. 26 teachers stay with the boarding students to guard the students.
The buildings are not enough for 108 male students, 105 female students, and teachers to stay in it. Thus, we needed to rent a room in town for these students and teachers.

We regularly receive these necessities from Dr. Cynthia Maung at Mae Tao Clinic. Sometimes we also receive rations (dry food). We also sometimes receive mosquito nets, blankets, pillows, etc. from donors.
11. School Requirements
1. We need a larger building for 1,200 students and land for school.
2. Two building for 240 boarding students. (One is for male and one is for female)

5. 12 toilets for male and female
6. Salaries (we did not have any money to pay teacher’s salaries for the past three years, but sometimes we receive a little support as emergency to give to the teachers).
